On May 16, 2017, Jimmy David Ramirez-Castellanos and Francisco Javier Gomez Espinoza, represented by MALDEF (Mexican American Legal Defense and Educational Fund) filed an employment discrimination lawsuit against Nugget Market, Inc. The suit alleged that Ramirez- Castellanos and Gomez Espinoza experienced discriminatory working conditions and retaliation.
The suit has now been resolved, through a confidential agreement, to the satisfaction of both parties. The lawsuit has therefore been dismissed by the Court.
